Soil Moisture Sensor- Water level
The Soil Moisture Sensor – Water Level module is a reliable and affordable solution for monitoring soil moisture and water content in real time. It is widely used in smart agriculture, gardening, and environmental monitoring systems. This sensor helps detect the water content of soil or the presence of water in a container, making it ideal for irrigation control, plant health monitoring, and automated watering systems. By integrating with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi, users can build projects that optimize water usage and maintain healthy plant growth with minimal effort.
How It Works
The Soil Moisture Sensor – Water Level module operates by measuring the resistance between two probes. When the soil is dry, resistance is high, resulting in a lower output signal. Conversely, when the soil is wet, conductivity increases, lowering the resistance and producing a higher signal output. This simple yet effective principle allows the sensor to provide accurate readings of soil moisture or water presence. The module typically outputs both analog and digital signals, giving flexibility for threshold-based or continuous monitoring.
