Solid State Relay Module 1-Channel 5V DC
The 1-Channel Solid State Relay (SSR) Module 5V DC is a compact and reliable switching device designed to control high-voltage AC loads using low-voltage DC signals. Unlike traditional electromechanical relays, this SSR uses semiconductor switching technology, providing silent operation, faster response, and longer life due to the absence of moving parts.
This module is widely used in Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32, and ESP32 projects to safely interface low-power control logic with high-power AC devices such as lamps, fans, heaters, and industrial equipment. Its opto-isolated design ensures complete electrical isolation between the control circuit and the load, making it safe and reliable for home automation, IoT, and industrial control systems.
How It Works
When a 5V DC signal is applied to the module’s input, the optocoupler inside activates, triggering the solid-state switching device (typically a TRIAC or MOSFET depending on AC/DC load type). This allows current to flow in the load circuit without mechanical contact.
Unlike mechanical relays, an SSR has:
No sparks or noise during switching
Faster response times (microseconds)
Longer operational life due to no wear and tear
This makes it ideal for projects that demand reliability and frequent switching cycles.
