The L293D Motor Driver Shield is a versatile and easy-to-use expansion board designed for Arduino. It allows you to control up to four DC motors or two stepper motors simultaneously, with direction and speed control using PWM signals. Built on the L293D dual H-Bridge IC, this shield simplifies motor driving in robotics, automation, and DIY projects without requiring additional circuitry.


How It Works

The shield uses two L293D H-Bridge motor driver ICs. Each IC can control two DC motors by providing bidirectional current flow, enabling forward and reverse motion. Speed control is achieved via PWM signals from the Arduino. The shield plugs directly onto Arduino UNO or Mega boards, making it a convenient solution for controlling motors in various projects.
